Siska "Unconditional Rebel" Video

  • A mesmerizing music video shot in a single five-second take using a slow-mo camera

Slow motion cameras like the Phantom Flex 4K have allowed a new generation of filmmakers to capture footage in creative new ways. This video for Siska's "Unconditional Rebel" is perfect proof. Shot at 1000 frames per second in a single take from a car traveling 50 km/h, the video takes us on a surreal three-and-a-half minute journey that, in fact, took only five seconds to shoot.

    From director Guillaume Panariello:

This is a real video performance, a slow motion video, a sequence map with a traveling in front of 80 extras placed on 80 meters along a little road, lost in an industrial area. Filmed at 1000 frames/second with a Phantom flex 4k from a car driven at 50km/h, the shooting took 5 seconds for a 3'30 video: a living and dreamlike mural.

Really cool, surely an early contender for short video of the year. Watch above.

The shortest shooting ever. This is a real video performance, a slow motion video, a sequence map with a traveling in front of 80 extras placed on 80 meters along a little road, lost in an industrial area.
