There's a trend afoot. In college campuses across the country there is talk about the evils of industrialized farming, the importance of organics, the beauty of green markets, and the politics of food. More and more kids are opting to intern on organic farms, and due to the burgeoning demand for organic produce bought directly from local farmers, it's a viable field for today's young grads. Organic farms across the country are quickly becoming the peace corps or the year abroad option for this generation. SHFT visits a few farms in Northern California to see what's going on.
