Don't expect to see a drone delivering your next care package from Mom; the testing will be done in a rural, sparsely populated area of Washington state. While some see the drones as a step forward in terms of lessening the environmental repercussions of Amazon's shipping and delivery services, others see it as potential threats to privacy and security.
