When closed the Lumio Book Lamp appears as a simple hardcover book. Once you open it up, an accordion-style LED lamp is revealed. The "pages" of the book act like a lamp shade, softening and warming the glow of the 500-lumen LED modules. The flexible design has a number of applications--think table lamp, wall sconce, ceiling pendant, or accent light. For the cover, you can choose from three FSC-certified wood finishes--blonde maple, warm cherry and dark walnut.

Lumio is the brainchild by San Francisco architect and designer Max Gunawan, who put it into production thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign.
