Our Natural World: The Year in Photos

  • Posted by SHFT on December 21, 2011 in Photography
  • For big, juicy photos of important happenings around the globe, there is no better place on the internet than The Big Picture. For green types like us, the Boston Globe photo blog's environment and wildlife gallery, The Natural World, is tops. TBP recently pulled fifty their picks for the top 50 photos of 2011 from the gallery, and published them here. Definitely some phenonmenal images in there. Our only criticism is that a good half of them are of animals in zoos, which maybe shouldn't really count as "wildlife" photography. In any case, here are a few picks from the bunch.
