Details Divulged on 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid

  • Posted by Mitchell Flexo on May 16, 2011 in Transportation
  • On June 5, Kia is set to release its first hybrid vehicle in the U.S., with a modest sticker price of $26,500. The Kia Optima sedan will achieve a fuel economy of 35 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. The car can drive in a zero-emissions, full-electric mode below speeds of 62 mph, or switch to a blended gas-electric mode and driven at any speed. In addition to its low price, impressive fuel economy, and nifty electric-only mode, the car will have an array of features and a good looking exterior to boot. It's taken a while, but its great to see that American consumers are beginning to see more choices in the hybrid/electric market.
